On 4th of November 2018 in Mykolaiv opened new art object Fisherman Boy Sculpture - new modern sight and attraction of Mykolaiv.

The new sculpture was installed on territory of 8th Berth of Mykolaiv River Port.

Author of Fisherman Boy Sculpture is Victor Makushin.

The prototype of this statue has become a real person - son of Victor Makushin. The sculptor noted that boy-fisherman was cast from the bronze in Vyshneve, Kiev region. It took about three months to complete the project.

Fisherman Boy Sculpture is a symbol of happy childhood when boys enjoy their free time, fishing, all life is ahead and they do not worry about anything.

Additional part of sculpture is a cat that looking to get the fish for the meal. Usually caught fish was small so a cat get a lot of fish after the fishing.
