The venue of the exhibition is Volyn Regional Historical Museum and working time: 10:00 - 17:00 The exhibition lets to get acquainted with history of Catherine Desnitska and the fate of this outstanding person, tell about Lutsk, Kiev, Bangkok, Paris in the beginning of XX century. About Catherine Desnitska Catherine Desnitska was born on April 26, 1886 in the family of head of Lutsk District Court Ivan Desnitskyi. Soon the family moved to Kiev where Catherine studied for six years at Kyiv Fundukley Women Gymnasium. At the ball the girl met with son of King of Siam, Rama V, Somdetch Phra Paramindr Maha Chulalongkorn - Chakrabongse Bhuvanath, Prince of Bishnulok. Catherine and the prince fell in love at first sight but their love was sincere and desperate. King of Siam, Rama V guided by traditions and laws of the kingdom crossed out his son from the list of heirs and did not recognize European-style daughter-in-law. After death of Rama V the royal throne was taken by his eldest son Prince Vajiravudh. He officially recognized the marriage of his brother and the wife of the prince with title of Princess of Siam - Catherine Na Phitsanulok. Prince Chakrabongse Bhuvanath became Chief of General Staff of Siamese Army. The new ruler was childless so Prince Chakrabongse Bhuvanath became the heir to the throne. In 1911 the couple visited Kyiv. Still living granddaughter of Catherine - Narisa Chakrabongse. She wrote the book "Katya and Prince Siam" and Ukrainian translation to this bestseller presented at the exhibition. Organizers of Catherine Thai Exhibition in Lutsk
