Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany, IEV) started Terminal A Extension with goal to improve comfort of passengers who depart from the airport.

The additional section of Terminal A will be around 9500 square meters. On the first floor there are reception desks, on the second floor - border control zone, 3 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 duty-free shops, entertainment areas for passengers with use of VR technology.

The plan of Terminal A Extension confirmed by border of directors of Master-Avia LLC in April 2018 and terms of the additional section construction is 9 months. All works should be finished till May 2019.

Total cost of the project is around 630 million Ukrainian hryvnia (approximate 22.5 million US dollars).

The previous project of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany, IEV) was aimed at expanding of arrival part of Terminal A. The idea was to use free space of already built Terminal D that is mainly used for domestic airlines and connect it by covered walkway with main arraval areas of Terminal A. The plan was confirmed in December 2017, start of building processes - February 2018 and completion of construction - May 2018.

By analytics of the processes taking place it can be noted that Master-Avia LLC invests in additional section of Terminal A with expectation of significant increase in passenger traffic in 2019.
