On 8th of September 2018 in Korosten will take place potato pancakes festival Derun Fest with tasty Ukrainian, Spanish, Norwegian and Georgian potato pancakes.

Derun Fest starts at 12:00 with a festive procession along the central street of Korosten after which will be held the solemn opening of the festival with flag raising and performance of the festival anthem in Korosten Central Park. The festival finish at 18:00.

This year participants and guests of Derun Fest are waiting for a series of competitions that will be connected to potatoes. One of the competitions is "Derun Triathlon" - who sits more times with a bag of potatoes, contest for eating of sour cream on the speed and many others.

Among the competitions traditionally be competition "Derun Sweet Tooth". Participants of this competition are weighed before the festival begins and in the end the one who will gain in weight more than the others will win.

In addition free deruns (potato pancakes) is also waiting for those who are members of Derun Amateur Club which was founded in 2015. Now in the club there are more than 100 members.
