On 08.09 - 12.09.2018 in Kiev will be held Puppet Theaters Festival pUPpet - the best performances of puppet theaters from 18 countries of the world.

The festival gather in the capital of Ukraine participants from Brazil, Georgia, Estonia, Iceland, Spain, China, Columbia, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, USA, Tunisia, Ukraine, France, Croatia.

During Puppet Theaters Festival pUPpet residents and guests of Kiev will be able to view more than 20 puppet performances that will take place on theater stages:

- Kiev Academic Puppet Theatre
- Kyiv Academic Theatre of "The Wheel"
- Kyiv Municipal Academic Puppet Theater on the Left Bank of Dnieper River
- Kiev Academic Young Spectators Theatre on Lipki

On 01.09 - 02.09.2018 in Kiev will be free performances in parks and touristic locations:

- Holosiivskyi National Natural Park
- Park Peremoha
- Park Natalka
- Kontraktova Square (near Monument to Grigory Skovoroda)
- Poshtova Square (in front of Kiev River Port)
- Warriors-Internationalists Park
- Taras Shevchenko Park
- Arch of Peoples Friendship

The festival starts on Saturday on 8th of September 2018 at 19:00 with large-scale parade-festive procession "pUPpet! Going for a doll!" from Hetman Sahaydachniy Monument (Kontraktova Square, 4). The participants of the procession will be theatrical groups participating in the festival, international delegations of embassies of participating countries, representatives of public associations, schoolchildren, youth and activists of Kiev public life.

Participants of the parade will be dolls and favorite heroes from children's and adults plays and head the festive parade is the doll-symbol of the festival - the gigantic Pinocchio of 6 meters in height. Organizers invite all to participate in the parade with their favorite dolls.

The final point of the parade route is Poshtova Square. At 20:00 here will be a grand street performance-opening of the festival "Puppets up to Cosmos" - the presentation of participating teams.
