On 2nd of March 2018 at 12:00 in Kiev will be held Match Records Festival on occasion of celebration of International Match Day.

The festival will be visited by talented masters from all around Ukraine for whom matches are foundation of creativity.

Time of the festival is 12:00 - 18:00.

Match Records Festival will open with music performance of only Match Musical Instrument Ensemble in Ukraine and in the world from Zhashkiv. It is a guitar, accordion, bandura, violin and other musical instruments made from matches by master Bohdan Senchukov.

Matches as masterpieces of art will be nominated for a new records:

- linear ship with a length of almost 1.5 meters (Ivan Kotlyarevsky, Kremenchuk)
- the largest model of a locomotive with railway cars (Victor Shulyarenko, Korosten)
- picture made from matches without the use of glue "Archangel Michael" (Sergei Korolyak, Kiev)
- the largest panel "Crucifixion" (Yuri Semenyuk, Lublinets, Volyn region)

To create each of these match masterpieces needed more than 100 000 matches.

It is symbolic that on International Match Day the festival will take place near Match Statue at the entrance to Czech Beer Restaurant "Staromak" (Sichovykh Striltsiv St., 37/41).
