On 26th of September 2018 in Kharkiv opened Kharkiv Classic Tram Tours by excursion tram MTV-82 on route from Southern Station to Forest Park and back.

The new tram tour calls "50/50" as Kharkiv was founded in 50's of XVII century and is on 50th parallel.

Participants of "50/50" Kharkiv Classic Tram Tour looked at Kharkiv in the eyes of its inhabitants of 1950s - what kind of transport they used, what buildings they built, how they dressed and on the way back listened to musical hits of that time.

The main goal of the organizers is to attract as many tourists as possible to Kharkiv and to inform about its sights and attractions.

About Tram MTV-82

MTV-82 - Soviet tram the first prototype of which was built in 1946 at Military Plant №82 (the index 82 in the name of the tram car). The abbreviation "MTV" means "Moscow Tram Vagon". Trams of this brand operated in many Soviet cities until the late 1970s: in Moscow - until 1981, in Kiev - until 1984 and in Odessa - until 1989. Soviet wagon drivers and repairmen liked MTV-82 for its simplicity, reliability and durability.

In post Soviet Union countries left only four original passenger trams MTV-82 and few cargo and watering tram cars.
