On 2nd of October 2018 at Dytiatky Checkpoint opened Dytiatky Tourist Information Center - new modern tourist information center for all visitors of Chernobyl Zone.

The project is a part of general plan of Chernobyl Zone development - "Chernobyl: Territory of Change!".

This is the first building on the territory of exclusion zone which is reconstructed according to principles of energy efficiency and "green" technologies.

From now tourists and visitors of Chernobyl Zone could get information about:

- tourist objects in Chernobyl Zone, main sights and attractions
- results of work of State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management
- removal of Chernobyl NPP from operation and transformation of Shelter Object into an environmentally safe system
- management of radioactive waste
- results of radioecological state of radioactive waste
- scientific research and functioning of Chernobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve

The project has been implemented with support of UNDP and The GEF Small Grants Program as well as activities of public organizations that are part of Public Council of State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management.

Dytiatky Tourist Information Center has solar power station, energy-efficient LED lighting, insulation of walls, windows and doors as well as an innovative heating system and air conditioning.
