On 18th of April 2018 in Derniv, Lviv region opened restored St Mykyta Wooden Church which is 1665 year of construction and made of pine beams.

In 2016 were allocated 500 000 UAH (around 15 600 Euro) for restoration of St Mykyta Wooden Church with co-financing from Lviv region budget of 150 000 UAH (around 4 700 Euro). In 2017 - another 330 000 UAH (around 10 300 Euro).

Inside the church walls were cleared to preserve XIth century wall paintings.

In St Mykyta Wooden Church were replaced ceilings, restored crosses, replaced windows, floor, lowered the level of ground around the church and also arranged a new lightning and fire protection system.

The last time the church was restored in 1977 under direction of architect Bohdan Kindzelsky.
