In Chernobyl Zone open four New Tourist Routes | №12 - №15


On 11th of September 2018 State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management open four New Tourist Routes for tourists in Chernobyl Zone.

Tourist routes went to places where interesting monuments of history, territory of archaeological excavations in Chernobyl and landscapes of Chernobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve were preserved.

Route №12 | Checkpoint "Dytiatky" - Bychki - Zamoshnya

Route goes through five villages where traditional Polissya houses and industrial buildings of XIX century were preserved. In addition on the route tourists could see active Chernobyl Desert St. Nicholas Monastery, remains of Old Believer churches and cemeteries (Zamoshnya and Bychki), place of ancient production of iron from marsh ore (Rudnia-Veresnya) and enjoy nature of Chernobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve.

Route №13 | Chernobyl NPP - Yaniv Station - Novoshepelichy - Lubyanka

The tourist route will lead visitors to famous abandoned electric train on outskirts of Yaniv station, ritual cross-figure on fork of roads and historic pine-tree in form of a trident transferred from Red Forest. Tourists could also visit the manor house of the last inhabitant of 10-kilometer zone of Sava Obrazhey and other wooden buildings of the middle of XIXth and early XXth centuries.

Route №14 | Chernobyl - Left bank of Pripyat River - Ladizhichi - Teremtsi

The route is very good for tourists who like river landscapes. Visitors will see the former ferry crossing via Pripyat river, place where Braginka river flows into Pripyat river, outskirts of Dnipro River and historical Chornobyl, traditional farm buildings and Polischuky huts.

Route №15 | Chernobyl and around the city

This tourist route leads to chronicle of Chornobyl of X-XIII centuries, Chornobyl castle of XVII - XVIII centuries, ancient cemetery and Dominican Monastery of XVIII century. Visitors could also look at historical descents of Chernobyl leading to Podil and territory of archaeological excavations.

All tourist routes are checked by specialists of State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management with dosimetrists and safe to visit.
