On 4th - 5th of June 2017 in Potocki Palace in Tulchyn near Vinnytsia will take place Operafest-Tulchyn - the first in Ukraine international open air opera festival.

Visitors of Operafest-Tulchyn will listen to the best Ukrainian and European famous operas:

- concert staging "Carmen" by Georges Bizet
- project "Gala Opera" consists of the best arias of German, Italian and Ukrainian composers
- concert version of one of the highest-grossing musicals in the world - "Phantom of Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Webber
- pre-premiere of opera "Alcides" of author Dmitro Bortniansky
- premiere of the year - Ukrainian-Italian staging of most fun opera "Touchstone" of author Gioacchino Rossini
- fantastic opera "Mermaid's Easter" dediceted to 140 anniversary of birth of Nikolai Leontovich. 78-year-old Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skorik will conduct the opera

During concerts of Operafest-Tulchyn all guests await more surprises: an exhibition devoted to the history of world and Ukrainian opera, workshops, wardrobe and various selfi-zones.

Dress code of the festival - clothes of XVII-XIX centuries.

Two days of grand concerts and performances will participate more than 300 professional artists:

- three symphony orchestras of Kyiv, Lviv and Vinnytsia
- two choirs from Lviv and Academic Chamber Choir "Vinnytsia"
- opera soloists from Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Poland and Czech Republic
- maestro conductors from Germany, USA, Poland and Ukraine

On 4th of June 2017 at 23:00 will start a special night program for youth "Ghosts of Old Castle". In Potocki Palace will be a screening of cult Hollywood movie "Phantom of Opera" and take place an interactive night program "Ghosts of Old Castle". Young adventurers could even spend the night in tents on the territory of Potocki Palace in Tulchyn.

On the territory of the festival will work cafe, rest areas with toilets and all infrastructure necessary for comfortable stay of visitors. Security will provide patrol police of Tulchyn and Vinnytsia. Organizers also outlined parking for those who come to the festival by own transport.

About Potocki Palace in Tulchyn

To create a special atmosphere of the festival venue was chosen one of Seven Wonders of Vinnytsia region - famous Potocki Palace which called "Palace on Border " or "Podilsky Versailles". Potocki Palace in Tulchyn was built in 1785 by French architect Joseph Lacroix.

Here Count Stanislaw Potocki married with his beloved Sophia for which then built the famous Sofievka Park in Uman.

In XVIII-XIX century Potocki Palace in Tulchin was a center of cultural life. Count Stanislaw Potocki had its own symphony orchestra, opera and ballet companies do each year there occurred premiere of operas, fluffy balls, masquerades and concerts attending by the first person at that time including Polish King Stanislaus Augustus.
