On 1st of April 2017 restored hydrofoil Kometa start navigation by route Odessa - Ochakiv - Skadovsk with one way trip around 3 hours and 20 minutes.

Update! The implementation of the plan of connection of Odessa, Ochakov and Skadovsk has been postponed for an indefinite period. At the moment, it is planned to launch hydrofoils on the routes: Kherson - Hola Pristan, Kherson - Nova Kakhovka and possibly Mykolayiv - Kinburn and Kherson - Skadovsk. The exact dates of start of navigation will be announced in the news.

In Company Nibulon which plans to carry out sea passenger transportation by hydrofoils Kometa believes that travel along the coast of Black Sea by route Odessa - Ochakiv - Tendrivska Spit - Dzharylgach Island - Skadovsk will be very interesting to tourists who come to Skadosk with families in summer season as well as for international tourists and travelers.

Despite its low maximum speed of 60 km/h hydrofoil Kometa reduces the time of the trip between Odessa and Skadovsk - just 3 hours and 20 minutes. Whereas on existing route of 305 km to Skadovsk tourists could reach by bus in 4 hours and 30 minutes. Also when in Ukraine it is summer time and it is hot many passengers prefer to use hydrofoil than a bus.

Company Nibulon will use hydrofoils Kometa on the route Odessa - Ochakiv - Skadovsk due to their greater passenger capacity of 120 people and design more suitable for sea routes.
