On 29th of October 2017 Ukrainian Railways launch new Overnight Train Lviv - Odessa - night express № 12 / 11 connecting two touristic cities of Ukraine.

Overnight Train Lviv - Odessa will run between Lviv and Odesa every other day: from Lviv - on paired dates of the month, from Odesa - according to odd dates of the month.

From Lviv train departure at 22:15 and arrive in Odessa at 08:35. On the way there are stops at the stations: Ternopil (00:16 - 00:20), Khmelnytsky (02:10 - 02:13), Zhmerinka (03:36 - 03:56), Podolsk (06:20 - 06:22).

From Odessa the train departure at 21:55 and arrive in Lviv at 07:55. On the way there are stops at the stations: Podolsk (00:10 - 00:12), Zhmerinka (02:37 - 02:57), Khmelnitsky (04:20 - 04:23), Ternopil (06:03 - 06:06).

The distance from Lviv to Odessa the night express №12 / 11 goes for 10 hours and 20 minutes. On the way back from Odessa to Lviv - just 10 hours.

Current night fast train № 26 / 25 which runs daily between Lviv and Odessa goes the distance from Lviv to Odessa for 12 hours and 10 minutes and vice versa - 12 hours 07 minutes. So the new train night express № 12 / 11 reduces travel time by 2 hours.

The new Overnight Train Lviv - Odessa included 7 new passenger train cars manufactured by PJSC "Kryukiv Carriage Works" and 3 passenger train cars after major repairs. In general night express № 12 / 11 provides 348 seats for the choice of passengers - 8 Kupe and 2 Luxury train cars.
