On 22nd of March 2017 at 10:00 - 16:00 in Kiev Museum of Water will take place Open Day with free entrance to the museum dedicated to World Water Day.

World Water Day 2017 is held under slogan of UN General Assembly - "Waste Water". To this day Kiev Museum of Water and "Kyivvodocanal" traditionally unite their efforts in organizing of Open Day. Through this initiative tourists and guests of Kiev may visit the museum free of charge - learn about the origin of water, water resources, quality of drinking water and the water as symbol of health of future generations.

During this year's event "Kyivvodocanal" initiate in Kiev Museum of Water first press conference with topical theme of World Water Day. Thus all interested persons will be free to learn how Kiev was provided with drinking water in ancient times, first laid plumbing, look at the model of artesian wells and sewage collector, large pool of Japanese fish.

Also on the occasion of 145th anniversary of "Kyivvodocanal" show documentaries, programs about the history and development of the first centralized water supply and sanitation in Kiev.

Symbolically the conference will be held in one of the first buildings of central city water supply - water tower of 1876 building in the conference hall which is located at an altitude of 115 meters above Dnieper river.
