On 9th of March 2017 in Kiev Park named after Taras Shevchenko will take place Campaign Global Shevchenko as a part of international flashmob GlobalShevchenko.

Hundreds of citizens of Kiev simultaneously read out the poem "In the dungeons". These campaigns are also simultaneously held in Riga, Odessa, Mariupol, Lutsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kherson, Chernivtsi and many other cities. This will be the largest simultaneous reading of Taras Shevchenko in history of the world.

During February and March 2017 around the world took place the flashmob on occasion of birthday of Taras Shevchenko.

Flashmob Global Shevchenko has joined more than 1000 participants from 19 countries and 81 settlements of Ukraine. The purpose of the flashmob - commemorate the great poet showing monuments to him established around the world.
