On 19th of November 2017 in Kiev at Ukrainian House will take place Ethno Music Fest Folk Virtuoso - festival of traditional folk song heritage of Ukraine.

Purpose of Ethno Music Fest Folk Virtuoso is to popularize, develop and cultivate original trends of contemporary music on basis of Ukrainian "ethno" and raising artistic image of Ukraine in the world culture.

The idea of the festival is to recreate the traditional folk song heritage of Ukraine in author's versions and improvisations with modern musical expression while preserving all peculiarity and uniqueness of folk material.

The festival will be held from 10:00 to 21:00 at Ukrainian House in Kiev city center.

Ethno Music Fest Folk Virtuoso Main Goals

- Find the most gifted young performers revealing their creative personality and potential
- Familiarity with creative achievements of young composers that are innovative in Ukrainian music
- Familiarity with work of the best performing soloists and ethno-groups, exchange of experience among young artists
- Wide popularization of the best achievements of national musical art, preservation and development of folk traditions

Participation in the festival will take Nina Matviyenko, Jazz Kolo, Illaria, Iryna Shynkaruk, Oles Zhuravchak (ethno-brass), Olena Kulik and Ensemble "Dnipro", Roman Hrynkov (bandura), Taruta, Petro Skazki (cymbals), Tonya Matviyenko, Ruslana Lotsman, The Doox, Kyril Stetsenko (violin) and others.

In the framework of the event planned: creative laboratories, master classes, exhibitions of masters of folk art and masters on the production of musical instruments, presentations of printed publications, creative meetings with artists and scientists.
