On 16th of December 2016 - 15th of January 2017 in Kharkiv will take place celebration of New Year 2017 and Christmas in traditional Ukrainian style.

Opening of Kharkiv Christmas Tree will take place on Svobody Square on 19th of December 2016 at 17:00.

Also for schoolchildren will be held traditional New Year's events at Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named Mykola Lysenko - from 24th to 30th of December 2016 and from 2nd to 4th of January 2017.

New Year's celebratory program will be held on 31st of December 2016 on Svobody Square as well as in Central Park of Culture and Rest named Maxim Gorky.

Also on Svobody Square during period 16.12.2016-15.01.2017 will work Christmas Fair and a skating rink.

For New Year 2017 and Christmas Kharkov will host more than 50 events - public festivals, sport competitions, concerts and exhibitions.
