On 1st of January 2017 Association of Hospitality Industry of Ukraine announced grant competitions with idea to support development of domestic and inbound tourism in Ukraine.

Purpose of grant competition - development of quality tourism programs in urban areas and regions of Ukraine where tourism is defined priority. The winners will receive funding for program of tourism development in the city, area or region of Ukraine and expert support of Association of Hospitality Industry of Ukraine. Financing of one grant can be up to 30 000 UAH.

Regional tourism is a complex system which is formed from a combination of unique recreational resources, tourism infrastructure, environmental characteristics and local culture.

Every region of Ukraine has great potential for tourism development but the lack of effective program of its development is a deterrent to its implementation. Development of regional tourism programs not included in state or local budget and implemented by active and enterprising citizens of Ukraine.
