Bicycle Route EuroVelo 4 covers 700 km from Lviv to Kyiv |
Bicycle route on territory of Ukraine covers six regions: Lviv, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr and Kyiv. It will pass through following towns: Shehyni - Lviv - Berezhany - Ternopil - Pochaiv - Kremenets - Ostroh - Shepetivka - Polonne - Zhytomyr - Radomyshl - Makariv - Irpin - Kyiv. The total length of Ukrainian part of International Bicycle Route EuroVelo 4 will be more than 700 km. Thus the route will pass through four regional centers in Lviv, Ternopil, Zhytomyr and Kyiv and six regional centers in Berezhany, Kremenets, Shepetivka, Polonne, Radomishl and Makariv. According to requirements set by European Cyclists Federation who are coordinators of International Bicycle Route EuroVelo 4 - Ukrainian bicycle route must have high-quality solid surface and pass through towns with tourist infrastructure that are located at a distance of 70-100 km as this distance cyclist can comfortably overcome during one day.
