On 30th of March 2017 in Chernobyl Zone Chernobyl Radiation and Environmental Biosphere Reserve got its legal registration and will occupy 2/3 of the exclusion zone.

The rest area of Chernobyl Zone in range of 10-kilometers around Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant remains as industrial area with Chernobyl NPP, Complex "Vector", Radioactive Waste Storages "Buriakivka", "3rd stage of Chernobyl NPP", "Pidlisny" and other facilities.

Legal registration of Chernobyl Radiation and Environmental Biosphere Reserve is the starting point that allow to begin works on administrative measures for functioning of the biosphere reserve, prepare estimates and training of the staff.

The idea of creation of the biosphere reserve in Chernobyl Zone is very good as there is no possible to use Chernobyl Zone lands for agriculture because of pollution by Ameri-241 (half-life - around 432 years) and Plutonium-239 (half-life - around 24 110 years).

Also Chernobyl Radiation and Environmental Biosphere Reserve let to develop populations of birds and animals, growing of trees and plants without human presence.
