After 8th of February 2017 in Chernivtsi International Airport (CWC) may land Aircrafts of 4C Code like Boeing 737-500, Embraer 190/195, Airbus A319.

Thus Chernivtsi International Airport with renovated runway can accept medium-haul aircrafts with low-mounted engines.

Repair of the runway of Chernivtsi International Airport cost 17.7 million UAH (around 630 000 US dollars). As a result of the examination head of State Aviation Administration of Ukraine signed additional to certificate of the airport.

It was carried out only overhaul of runway which main purpose was to restore damaged areas but certain restrictions related to carrying capacity of airport runway cover will still take place. In the future there is a need of complete reconstruction of the airport complex so new generation of aircrafts could land in the airport including those used by low cost companies.

Moving step by step staff and management of Chernivtsi International Airport is doing everything possible to maximize the safe operating capacity of the airport complex in its current state. Today the main priorities are support and development of the airport for Chernivtsi and the region.

Further development of Chernivtsi International Airport will significantly improve tourism and business of the city.
