On 22nd of December 2017 in Kiev Antonov-2 Airport took place celebration of An-124 Ruslan 35th Anniversary - famous heavy military transport aircraft.

Modified version of An-124-100M-150 Ruslan which is operated by airline "Antonov Airlines" performed a demonstration flight.

Members of the first An-124 crew took part in the event:

- Pilot - Vladimir Tersky
- Co-pilot - Alexander Galunenko
- Navigator - Alexander Poddubny
- Flight Engineer - Alexander Shuleshchenko
- Leading engineer for flight testing - Mikhail Kharchenko
- Experimental engineer - Vyacheslav Mihailov

On 26th of December 2017 at Kiev Antonov-2 Airport will be held the second part of the events dedicated to An-124 Ruslan 35th Anniversary.

Historical Facts

On 24th of December 1982 for the first time a heavy military transport aircraft An-124 Ruslan was made its maiden flight.

On 21st of December 1988 the world biggest transport aircraft Antonov An-225 Mriya performed its maiden flight.
