Ethno Gallery Spadok opens on 28th of December 2016 in Ternopil |
Opening of Ethno Gallery Spadok is a desire to demonstrate and make available for view of wide audience and tourists ancient household things of Ukrainian nation and dive into world of national culture through embroidered heritage of Ukrainian people. An important source of study of authentic native art is embroidery which reflects key elements of vision of Ukrainian nation. Basis of the exhibition are samples of authentic vintage clothing and towels - Bozhnyk, Khlibnik, Wedding. Exposition will feature collections: - Krolevets embroidered towels of Sumy region - 80 embroidered towels one of which dates from year 1915 In addition will be presented tablecloths, bedspreads, homespun burlap, Hutsul rugs, antique musical instruments, household things and more. The main center of exposition are chests which are a symbol of heritage passed down from one Ukrainian generation to other. It keeps all family treasures for future generations. Also there are original documents of times of UPA National Liberation Resistance, religious icons and icons-housekeepers, pictures showing life of peasants in Ukraine. During opening of Ethno Gallery Spadok visitors and tourists also can look at collection of jewelry from well-known in Ukraine artist Roksolyana Shymchuk, decorative exhibition with samples of embroidered cloths, motanka dolls of Lyudmila Pavlova collection and more.
