On 1st - 18th of March 2016 in Lviv will take place Women's World Chess Championship between the current champion Mariya Muzychuk, Lviv, Ukraine and contender for the title - Yifan Hou, China.

Women's World Chess Championship will take place in Potocki Palace (15, Kopernyka Str.).

There will be 12 games in the format of "two games - rest (training)". In case of a draw held additional games that will determine the champion of years 2015-2016.

In 2015 having won Women's World Championship in Sochi Mariya Muzychuk became XV world chess champion by defeating in the final match to Natalia Pogonina, Russia.
