Electric Bus Electron E19101 went to its first route in Lviv |
Electric bus finally left assembly shop to go on streets of Lviv for production testing and should run over 200 kilometers. Electric Bus Electron E19101 is very similar to trolleybus but it is more convenient because it is not attached to power network. Battery of the ecobus is enough for 220 kilometers - two working shifts. The speed of the bus is up to 70 kilometers per hour. All parts and devices of the electric bus is made in Ukrane. The work of the electric bus is controlled by dozens of processors. Development of electronic control took over plant Electron: connected mechanics, electronics and programming. The first Ukrainian Electric Bus Electron E19101 cost 9 000 000 UAH (around 360 000 US dollars). The developers of Electrontrans confirm that in three and a half years the electric bus will pay off. The bus requires no fuel and is inexpensive to maintain. The price of its operation is very low. When compared the electric bus with a similar diesel bus it has 10-15 times less operating expenses.
