On 23rd of January 2018 will be held 4G Mobile Network Tender for licenses in frequency ranges of 1800 and 2600 MHz among mobile operators.

National Commission on Communications and Information Management of Ukraine (NCCIMU) decided to conduct a tender for obtaining licenses for use of radio frequency resource of Ukraine for implementation of radio technology "International Mobile Communication IMT" of 2510 - 2545 MHz, 2565 - 2570 MHz, 2630 - 2665 MHz, 2685 - 2690 MHz radio frequencies.

According to approved 4G Mobile Network Tender announcement tender documents will be accepted by NCCIMU on 13.11 - 22.12.2017 inclusive.

The date of commencement of the tender is already approved and it is on 23rd of January 2018. The tender will be conducted on an open and transparent basis by means of bidding "From the Vote" (the way of bidding when participants by voice in turn according to registration numbers specified in registration certificates offer price for the lot in national currency of Ukraine taking into account the step of increasing the price quotation).

Defining of winners of 4G Mobile Network Tender is pre-planned by the end of January 2018.

On base of official statements from telecommunication operators to free the range of 1800 MHz radio frequencies for the possibility of introducing a new 4G technology NCCIMU consider to conduct a tender for licenses for 4G communication networks in that specified range in the first decade of December 2017.

Starting price of 4G license is about 4 billion UAH (around 129 million EUR) for 1800 MHz and about 2.3 billion UAH (around 129 million EUR) for 2600 MHz.

If all going as planned 4G mobile network operators will provide their mobile communication services and high-speed 4G Internet throughout Ukraine by May - June 2018.
